Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has openly discussed his past struggles with depression and how he overcame them.
Fawad Khan, who gained fame with his stellar performance in the Pakistani film “Khuda Ke Ley” in 2007, further rose to prominence with the drama “Humsafar” in 2011. His exceptional acting skills have been showcased not only in Pakistan but also in India. In 2014, he captivated audiences with his role in the Bollywood movie “Khoobsurat.”
Despite a highly successful showbiz career, Fawad Khan revealed in an interview with Indian media outlet Pinkvilla that work-related stress took a toll on his mental health.
“The industry we are part of is very competitive, and the feeling of insecurity in this competitive atmosphere affects mental health. It happened to me too,” Fawad Khan said.

He added, “I believe that taking a break is essential to overcoming depression. While I don’t consider myself the best person to give advice, I know people who struggle with mental stress even more than I did, and I feel extremely lucky.”
Fawad Khan emphasized the importance of patience, saying, “Things should be allowed to happen in their own way. When the right time comes, everything will fall into place. Patience is key.”
Regarding his absence from social media, Fawad Khan explained, “I think if you are dedicated to your art, you should give it your all and not worry about anything else. That’s why I’m not active on social media. The media can make you feel like you’re lagging behind in the world race.”
Notably, Fawad Khan is set to make a comeback in Bollywood after a long hiatus, with news circulating about his upcoming film with actress Vaani Kapoor.
