While reflecting on her experience with magazine cover shoots, Florence Pugh Opens Up About ‘Painful’ Criticism Over Her Weight Pugh noted that modeling isn’t something she feels naturally comfortable with. “It’s a skill I’ve had to learn,” she said, explaining that posing for photos doesn’t always feel authentic to her. “But now I know what I want to show and who I want to be. For her role in We Live in Time, where she plays a cancer patient, Pugh shaved her head without hesitation, saying it was essential for the character. “It was important to show her head being shaved — it was a no-brainer.” She also mentioned that acting in scenes involving pain is something she often embraces. “I feel like it’s my responsibility to portray real human experiences, even the ugly and uncomfortable ones.”
Ultimately, Pugh emphasized the importance of kindness and being true to herself. “What matters most is that I’m a good person, and people feel good when they’re around me.”
