Indian cricket team’s fast bowler Mohammad Shami has finally broken his silence on the rumors linking him to tennis star Sania Mirza.
In recent days, various social media posts speculated that Shami and Sania were getting married, with edited pictures circulating online.
However, in a conversation with Shubhankar Mishra on YouTube, Mohammad Shami addressed these rumors and criticized those spreading such false news online.
The fast bowler urged people to stop spreading falsehoods on social media, noting that while such memes can be entertaining, they can also be harmful.
“I appeal to everyone to be responsible with social media and avoid spreading such baseless news,” he said.
Shami further commented, “Yes, it’s strange. What can you do about such coercion? When you open your phone and see these pictures, it’s baffling. But I want to say that no one should take this seriously.”
He emphasized, “I believe that memes are meant for fun, but if they involve someone’s life, then they should be made with great care. Today, you may not be verified or famous, but you can still spread such things.”
Shami added, “If you have talent, show it through a verified page. It’s easy to pull others down, but achieving success and raising your level is what makes you a good person.”
It should be noted that last month, edited pictures showing Sania Mirza and Mohammad Shami as a couple were circulating on the internet, and Indian media had claimed that the two were going to get married in August this year.
Imran Mirza, the father of the tennis star, reacted to these claims, saying, “All these things are nonsense.
