Pakistani film star Shaan Shahid‘s sister, Zarqa Shahid, recently revealed that her brother was initially against her joining the showbiz industry.
In an interview, Zarqa Shahid shared that she played a significant role in raising her brother after their father passed away when Shaan was still a child.
She mentioned that she was very passionate about modeling in her youth and wanted to join the entertainment industry, but her brother Shaan did not support her decision.
Zarqa explained that, in the past, their family was strongly opposed to girls working in showbiz. Whenever she mentioned her interest in modeling, it caused significant tension within the family. Although she was not interested in acting in films, she wanted to pursue modeling based on her friends’ advice. However, her brother was not comfortable with her entering the industry.

She expressed her surprise at how her brother’s views changed, allowing his daughter to work in the film industry. Zarqa said, “I am happy that Shaan changed his mind and allowed his daughter to work in the film industry.”
Zarqa also vaguely mentioned that when people become stars, they sometimes forget their family and siblings. She advised that even after achieving fame, one should not neglect the importance of family.
