Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty has been summoned by the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations Unit of Special Cell, Delhi Police, in alleged connection with the scam pertaining to the HIBOX app. The HIBOX app is a fraud regarding claims of assuring its investors of Rs 500 crore as returns against huge daily investment.
Rhea Chakraborty will be recording her statement on October 9 pertaining to the investigation.
In February 2024, HIBOX launched an app to attract about 30,000 investors with returns of 1% to 5%. But the day the payment stopped was in July, after which more than 500 complaints arose. Based on the complaints, investigations were opened. This involvement of Rhea Chakraborty sent a shock to everyone, particularly because YouTuber Alvish Yadav and comedian Bharti Singh, too, are a part of this case, and the police called them for interrogation.
