The famous Indian actor Ravi Mohan, popularly known by his stage name ‘Jayam Ravi’, became the centre of attraction by announcing his divorce from his wife Aarti Ravi after 15 years of marriage.
Rumors of separation from veteran film editor A Mohan’s son Ravi Mohan gained momentum this June after his wife Aarti Ravi deleted all photos of husband and actor Ravi Mohan, aka Jayam Vari, from her Instagram account.
After this process, not only did the fans of this couple look worried about their married life, but they also kept an eagle eye on every process.
Now, the actor himself has finally announced divorce from his wife by issuing a long note through his Instagram and X account.
Tamil actor Ravi took to social media and announced that he and his wife Aarti Ravi are getting divorced due to ‘personal reasons’ after 15 years of marriage.
Sharing it in Tamil and English, the actor wrote, ‘Life is a journey with various stages, each having their share of ups and downs. Most of you would have witnessed this journey of mine, be it on screen or off screen, with a lot of love and understanding. I’ve always strived to be as honest and open as possible with my well-wishers and the media.
“It is with a heavy heart that I am sharing something deeply personal with you all. After much deliberation and counseling, I have taken the difficult decision to end my marriage,” Jayam Vari further wrote. ‘This decision has not been taken in haste but for personal reasons which in my view are in the best interest of all.’
He begs on folded hands from his near and dear ones, ‘I request you all to respect our privacy and that of our family members during this difficult time. Please do not make any speculations, rumours or accusations on this matter and keep the matter private.’
Jayam Ravi concludes the caption and writes, ‘It has always been my priority to continue to provide happiness and entertainment to my dear viewers through my films. I will always be your Jayam Ravi, to whom you all have given love in my career and to an actor who works hard, dedicates himself to his work. This year on June 4, the couple celebrated their 15th anniversary. Though the couple has always been very aware of their private life since 2009 after their marriage, Aarti removing those pictures raised a scandal. The move surprised the fans.
