Parvathy was born in April 1986 in Calicut, Kerala, to P. Vinod Kumar and T. K. Usha Kumari. Her initials come from her mother’s family name, Thiruvoth Kottuvata. During her school years, her family moved to Trivandrum, where she continued her studies. She is also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer.
After moving to Thiruvananthapuram, Parvathy completed her schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pangode. She was a popular television anchor at Kiran TV, a full-time music channel based in Thiruvananthapuram, known for her engaging phone-in programs.
