Pakistan’s Haider Ali has won a bronze medal in the discus throw at the ongoing Paralympic Games in Paris. An athlete from Uzbekistan took the gold with a throw of 56.003 meters.
According to Express News, Haider Ali achieved a distance of 52.4 meters in his final attempt. His first throw reached 52.28 meters, while his second, third, fourth, and fifth attempts were declared fouls.
Haider Ali, who hails from Gujranwala, competed in the F37 category for the discus throw event. He previously won a gold medal in the same event at the Tokyo Games with a throw of 52.26 meters. In addition, he earned a silver medal in the long jump at the 2008 Beijing Games and a bronze at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games, making this his fourth overall Paralympic medal.

Haider Ali has also won a silver medal at the World Para Athletics Championships, four gold medals, and two bronze medals at the Asian Para Games. To date, he has claimed a total of five gold, two silver, and three bronze medals for Pakistan.
