At the age of 4, Macaulay Culkin began his acting career with one of his earliest roles in the New York Philharmonic’s theatrical version of Bach Babies. He also appeared in the TV movie The Midnight Hour (1985) and played Paul Gephardt, an abduction victim, in an episode of the action series The Equalizer (1988).
Culkin gained widespread recognition with his breakthrough role as Kevin McCallister in the hit comedy Home Alone (1990). He was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and won the Young Artist Award for his performance.
In My Girl (1991), Culkin starred alongside Anna Chlumsky and earned praise for his role. In The Good Son (1993), he portrayed a darker character in a psychological thriller. He then played the title role in Richie Rich (1994), a family comedy about a wealthy young boy.
