He also appeared in the TV movie The Midnight Hour (1985) and played Paul Gephardt, an abduction victim, in an episode of the action series The Equalizer (1988).
Culkin gained widespread recognition with his breakthrough role as Kevin McCallister in the hit comedy Home Alone (1990). He was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and won the Young Artist Award for his performance.
