Rumors of Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan‘s retirement are circulating in India’s entertainment industry, sparked by an interview with his son, Junaid Khan.
Junaid Khan, who made his acting debut with Netflix’s “Maharaj,” revealed in an interview that his father is considering retirement, which is why he has formally put his film career on hold.
Junaid shared, “I have always been behind the camera on film sets. I was working on a film for my production company, Aamir Khan Productions, when my father told me he was retiring and asked if I could take over. That’s when I officially decided to get into production. I believe I have a good understanding of film production, which is one of the most challenging areas of filmmaking.”
It’s worth noting that Aamir Khan is currently working on the sequel to his famous film “Taare Zameen Par.” The Bollywood megastar has been facing a tough career phase after a series of flops. In 2018, his film “Thugs of Hindustan” was a major failure, followed by “Laal Singh Chaddha,” which also did not succeed at the box office.
