She walked down the ramp as she wore a red-colored Manipuri attire called potloi, accentuated with real gold jewelry.
Sharing fairs of videos from last night, Urvashi wrote how she is the first Indian woman to wear a 24K real gold Potloi queen dress as a showstopper in the entire history ever. The border of the dress seemed to be of real and pure gold.
Potloi dress is essentially a traditional attire donned by the ladies in the North East region of India. It is usually donned at cultural occasions and at important celebrations. The outfit is teamed with extensive jewellery to make it look fuller.
Urvashi’s fashion designer Robert Naorem is from Manipur himself and loves contributing towards the fabrics and textiles of the state. Global Indian Couture Week was held at Gurugram, Haryana.
